Oracle Fusion Workforce Scheduling is a module within Oracle Cloud HCM designed to optimize
employee scheduling, manage labor costs, ensure compliance, and integrate with other
Workforce Management tools like Time and Labor. It enables managers to create schedules
based on availability, absences, and preferences, while allowing employees to self-schedule or
trade shifts for better engagement. In the 25C quarterly update, the focus includes
enhancements to reporting capabilities and deeper integration with the Redwood user
experience (UX)—Oracle’s modern, intuitive interface theme. Redwood pages in Workforce
Scheduling provide streamlined navigation, reduced clicks, and a consistent design across HCM
applications.

Key Redwood-Enabled Features in Workforce Scheduling 25C
Enhanced Workload Reporting Subject Areas: Updated OTBI (Oracle Transactional
Business Intelligence) subject areas—Workforce Scheduling – Workload Real Time and
Workforce Scheduling – Workload Consolidation Real Time—now include additional
attributes for better insights into scheduling data. These can be visualized in Redwood
Analytics dashboards, where you can embed OTBI reports directly into pages for
interactive, real-time views (e.g., charts and KPIs). This supports data-driven decisions
on labor allocation.
Schedule Integration with Time Cards: Building from 25B, Redwood time cards
(generated from schedules) display read-only shift details, such as start/end times, shift
types, and work patterns. Managers and workers access this via the Time Cards page,
with customizable layouts using Time Layout Sets. Profile options like those for
Redwood Time and Labor ensure seamless flow.
Team Schedule Page: Available since 25A but fully supported in Redwood across 25C,
this page opens via the Team Schedules quick action (My Team > Time). It defaults to a
Week view (switchable to 4 Weeks) and shows shifts, absences, holidays, and work
patterns from Workforce Scheduling sources. Events from published shifts appear with
blue backgrounds for quick identification.
Workforce Schedules Page: Introduced in 24B and Redwood-optimized, access this via
My Client Groups > Workforce Scheduling > Workforce Schedules quick action. It
supports generating, personalizing (via constants and business rules), and publishing
schedules for staffing departments. Use page-level actions for bulk operations and
column customization.
