WMS Common

  • Support Dynamic Repeating Barcodes in Label Designer

Dynamic Repeating Barcodes paired with Dynamic Repeating Text with DPI Dimensions allow for a table of text with barcodes to be printed across multiple pages so that labels are printed more efficiently and organized better. You can now scan each item on the label and can have multiple barcode lists to scan different barcodes during warehouse operations.

NEW ‘DPI DIMENSIONS’ FLAG FOR TEXT ELEMENTS

It has introduced a DPI Dimensions Flag and a new field on the Document Label section that will allow you to change the type of element between Length DPI or Length of Characters. It applies to all text elements across all pages in the templates. In addition to this, advanced text wrapping is also supported when DPI Dimensions is enabled.

You can input values for this field and switch between the configurations you’d like:

  • Length (characters) / Height (rows)
  • DPI Width and DPI Height

The checkbox is called DPI Dimensions and is not enabled by default.

  • Native Solution for Managing Attachments in WMS

With release 24C, a subscription to Oracle Content Management is no longer required to manage attachments in Oracle WMS. A native solution has been incorporated into WMS to upload, view, and delete attachments that does not require any additional subscription or configurations. The feature is supported in the following screens in WMS:

  • Inbound LPN UI
  • Outbound LPN UI
  • Item Inventory by LPN UI
  • LPN Type UI
  • Inbound Shipment UI
  • Outbound Load UI
  • Pallet UI

A common “Attachments UI” to view attachments related to any entity listed above

  • Additional Filter Criteria in Multiple Web UIs

We’ve added additional filter criteria in several screens in Warehouse Management, giving you more precise and customizable filter options to enhance operational efficiency.

GROUP REFERENCE FIELD ADDED TO SEVERAL UIs

In order to support integration with Order Management and Inventory Management, we’ve added updates to support Shipset functionality. Shipset on an order is determined based on the Group Reference field in WMS. We are adding the Group Reference field for the following UIs and API:

  • Order Header View (OrderHdrView)
  • Order Detail View (OBOrdersView_FW)
  • Manual Wave UI filter criteria
  • REST API GET request for Order Header Entity
  • Extend Configuration Export/Import Tool to Allocation Mode Screen

In 24C, we have extended support for the Wave Template (WaveTemplateView) > Allocation Mode screen to use the Configuration Export/Import Tool. Now, in the Allocation Mode screen, you can easily migrate and replicate the UI configurations between facilities, companies, and environments by using the Configuration Export/Import tool.

For more information on the Export/Import (Config) action button and how to Export or Import Configurations, refer to Configuration Export/Import Tool in the 23B – What’s New

  • Addition of Authentication to Encrypted Printing Protocol

Now, adding printers in Oracle Cloud WMS is more secure with the introduction of the new flag “Use Basic Auth”. When enabled on the Printer Configuration UI, this enhancement adds an extra layer of validation by mandating the entry of a valid username and password while adding any new printers.

However, when the flag is set to NO, the system considers the process as “No Auth” and the user can create the printer without giving the additional credentials.

  • This applies only to the “https” protocol. For other protocols, this functionality is disabled.
  • The user name is limited to 30 characters and of POSIX standard, i.e. allowed characters are

 [A-Za-z0-9.-_]

  • The password is limited to 128 characters.

Warehouse Workforce Management

  • Extend Input Interface and REST API Support to Work Area Activities

The WFM Work Area Activities (WAA) view is used to create system, VAS, and manual activities.  The WMS Screens child view of WAA is used to map system activities to WMS Screens. In 24C, we have enhanced WFM to upload or post WAA data and the mapped WMS Screens via input interface and REST API.   The functionality of the configuration migration action button on the WAA view has also been enhanced to include the mapped WMS screens for system activities in the exported config file.
