From time to time, Oracle replaces existing Cloud service features with new features or removes existing features. Replaced features may be put on a path to removal. As a best practice, you should use the newer version of a replaced feature as soon as the newer version is available.

Supply Chain Orchestration

  • Redwood Experience

These features were built in Redwood, Oracle’s next-generation user experience. Redwood brings state-of-the-art, consumer-grade user experiences across devices to the sophisticated enterprise scenarios that Oracle enables.

  • Use Redesigned Pages to View Supply Request Lines

Use redesigned pages to view details about supply request lines. Get details about supply, such as details about the purchase order, work order, or transfer order that’s fulfilling each supply request line. Examine the orchestration plan to get the current state of the tasks that the orchestration process is running. View the attributes that the service mapping is modifying on each line. Take action on the line to resolve any supply disruptions.

Use your desktop, tablet, or mobile device to take actions that remove supply disruptions on supply request lines.

Steps to Enable

You don’t need to do anything to enable this feature.

Tips And Considerations

  • Go to the Supply Chain Orchestration work area, then search for your supply request.
  • In the search results, click your supply request, then click More Actions > View Supply Request Details.
  • On the Supply Request page, click a supply request line, then click More Actions > View Supply Request Line Details.
  • View details on the Supply Request Line page.

Self-Service Procurement

  • Responsive Self-Service Procurement Application

These features were built in Redwood, Oracle’s next-generation user experience. Redwood brings state-of-the-art, consumer-grade user experiences across devices to the sophisticated enterprise scenarios that Oracle enables.

  • View Requisitions Created by Other Preparers

You can now view requisitions created by other preparers in the Responsive Self-Service Procurement application. Before this release, you could only view and manage requisitions that you created.

To use this feature, navigate to the My Requisitions page, which, by default, only displays requisitions you created. Use the Entered by filter to view requisitions prepared by others. To see all the requisitions that have been created in the requisitioning business units you have access to, remove the filter.

  • Manage Approvers on Requisitions during Shopping Checkout

You can now manage the list of approvers for requisitions during shopping checkout in the Responsive Self-Service Procurement application. Before this update, you could only preview this information.

To use this feature, use the View Approvers action on the Cart page during checkout. This displays a list of approvers required to review the requisition as part of the approval process. You can add more approvers to the default list presented.

To add an ad hoc approver, select an approver from the desired rule participant and use the Add Approvers option.

You can search using the first few letters of the first name, last name, or email.

The email-based search is case-sensitive.

  • Modify Requisitions as an Approver

For requisitions that are created and submitted in the Responsive Self Service Procurement application, you as an approver can now modify and approve them in the application.

In addition, you can also save the requisition, that is being edited, for later in any of these cases:

  • You don’t have the required information to review it.
  • You want to edit a different requisition.
  • You want to shop for yourself.
  • Create Urgent Requisitions

Create requisitions as an urgent delivery request in the Responsive Self-Service Procurement application. This helps alert buyers for review and action when processing requisitions into a purchase order.

These screen captures illustrate the feature.

Edit the line to mark it as urgent. Optionally, edit the requisition summary to mark all lines as urgent.

  • Configure Approval Rules for Requisitions Using Mapping Sets

Configure approval rules for requisitions using mapping set attributes. You can use mapping sets to configure approval authority by associating attributes from one or more dimensions and routing requisitions for approval to the approvers defined in the configuration.
