For many years, Fusion Applications Warehouse (FAW) has been the recommended analytics solution for Fusion Apps customers. Over that period, FAW has evolved considerably, adding scope, new technologies like AI, and new types of analytics applications. This evolution has been significant enough to warrant a new vision and new branding: meet Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI). FDI is different—and improves upon—its predecessor, including new AI-powered enhancements. It will help get you quickly up to speed on changes to product names, capabilities, and pricing.

Customers using FDI also get access to new, AI-powered data-exploration capabilities in OAC every other month, including enhancements across natural language queries, AI-generated insights, automatic data augmentation, mobile and podcasting features, and more.

What’s new:

  • Integration across applications and industries:

FDI is part of a broader strategy to provide a data-intelligence platform for all Oracle applications including NetSuite, Oracle Health, and Oracle Industry Solutions such as financial services and utilities.

  • Data lakehouse platform:

FDI uses OCI object storage for storing, transforming, and sharing data across applications.

  • Intelligent Applications:

Intelligent Applications are not systems of record (i.e., transactional applications). Instead, they are systems of insight: analytics and machine learning (ML) applications that help users better understand what is going on in their businesses. They are specialized, focused on specific domain areas, and aim to provide insights and recommendations across Fusion Apps modules as well as incorporating other relevant data. Examples include Supply Chain Command Center, People Leader Workbench, and Dynamic Sales Forecasting.

  • Prescriptive AI models:

FDI includes a data pipeline to transform data from our cloud apps for use in analytics and to train ML models for predictive (i.e., forecasting what might happen in the future) and prescriptive (i.e., recommending actions based on forecasts) analytics. The ML models work across business functions and can be used in interactive dashboards, Intelligent Applications, or in custom applications.

  • Expanded extensibility framework:

Customers, ISVs, and Oracle partners can create their own reports and new Intelligent Applications using the same platform.

Enchant Apps has a team of Oracle Cloud experts across all modules. If you are interested in learning more or have a project where you need Oracle cloud expertise, feel free to contact us!
