Within Time and Labor, Oracle has improved functionality on a number of Employee and Manager level tasks. There really is great improvement and some exciting new features available on the Redwood timecard.
We would advise every customer to take the time to experience the updated Time and Labor user interface Redwood. To improve the user experience and position yourself to take advantage of new enhancements, users of responsive timecards are highly encouraged to migrate Desktop users to Redwood, and only the responsive timecard for Mobile Entry. This is imperative for classic UI users, due to the fact that Oracle is ending support for classic UI in 24D.
Below we have selected 4 of the most relevant 24C updates for OTL (Oracle Time and Labor).
- Non-Redwood 24C Enhancements:
EMPLOYEE CALENDAR INTEGRATION
This functionality is helpful when users have Calendar Integration (ICS) file enabled, employees will get an ICS file with their schedule details whenever a new schedule is published.
This empowers workers to effortlessly sync their work schedules with their preferred calendars, improving convenience and ensuring that all schedule-related information is easily accessible and up to date. Setting up this feature helps reduce miscommunication, enhances productivity, and supports better time management within the organisation.
- Redwood 24C Enhancements
REDWOOD TIME CARD ENHANCEMENTS
Improve productivity with these Redwood time card enhancements:
- Add row-level comments.
- Sort grid time entries by time attribute, including additional attributes, times, and quantities.
- Display scheduled hours in the grid.
- Resize grid columns and rows.
Employees can now add a comment that applies to each entry in a row by right-clicking the row number, and users also have the ability to sort time entries in ascending or descending order using any of the grid columns. Furthermore, employees can now resize grid columns and rows. And this resizing remains if you reopen the time card using the same device.
Depending on employees shift types and time card setup, individuals can now see a header row between the period days and attributes that shows your scheduled times and hours, or scheduled hours for each day.
TIME CARD ADDITIONAL STATUSES ON THE REDWOOD TEAM TIME CARDS PAGE
Additional statuses are now available to review processing and transfer status. When a timecard is submitted, users can now find out, if time card entries are transferred to Payroll or Processed by Payroll, by checking the relevant field. Users can now see whether a specific time entry has been transferred or processed by other areas of the application.
TIME CARD DELETION FROM THE REDWOOD EXISTING TIME CARDS PAGE
Employees who have no pending change requests can now delete unaudited time cards via the Existing Time Cards page. This will help users to delete any incorrect information in Time entries.
