The Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM 25C release introduces several enhancements focused on improving user experience, compliance, and functionality across various modules, with a strong emphasis on the Redwood UX. Below is a summary of key updates based on available information:

  • Global Human Resources

Redwood UX Enhancements:

Up to four person-specific attributes (e.g., Person Number, Business Title, Job Name) can now be displayed in the header of Redwood-enabled HCM pages, improving context visibility for HR professionals. Labels for these fields can be customized to show or hide as needed.

A new security privilege for HR Analysts resolves issues with accessing the Country List of Values (LOV) in Redwood pages, automatically included in the seeded Human Resource Analyst role.

Employment Processes:

New privilege for using REST Service – HCM Countries List of Values granted to the Human Resource Analyst role.

Support for Employment Worker Assignment Object and Document Records All Object in Redwood Document Records for business rules configuration.

Flexfield parameters supported for Assignment EFF in Redwood processes like Cancel Work Relationship, Delete Employment Details, and Additional Assignment Info.

Business rules support for additional Redwood employment pages, including Seniority Dates and deleting V3 Seniority Date for a person.

Enhanced LOV and checkbox options for Assignment Flags in Redwood employment processes.

Address Management:

Address search with type-ahead and autocomplete capabilities is now available across Redwood and Responsive HCM address maintenance pages.

Address verification up to address line 1, with geospatial coordinates (latitude, longitude) added to verified addresses.

Expanded master geography data set provided by Oracle for LOVs in address fields. Enable this via the Features by Country or Territory task.

HCM Data Loader:

Enhanced functionality to record additional information when deleting assignments.

Streamlined updating of historical records using Redwood Workforce Structures pages.

Support for incumbents in business rules for Redwood Positions and a new Redwood Experience for Request a Duplicate Position process.

  • Payroll

Redwood-Powered Payroll Updates:

Foreign Tax Credits can now be recorded for resident employees working overseas using the Statutory Deduction Information card and PAYE Additional Information section for accurate cross-border taxation.

A new Private Health Insurance (PHI) calculation card streamlines handling of PHI-related payroll deductions for both employee and employer contributions.

Payroll Activity Center:

A new subject area, “Payroll – Payroll Activity Center Real Time,” enables reporting on payroll process results, including the number of employees processed, balance results, and costing summaries across payroll periods. It supports business questions like comparing balance and cost results or identifying pending post-processing tasks.

Person Results Page:

Moved to the Redwood toolkit, offering a modernized interface to view all processes run for an employee (e.g., Statement of Earnings, Archive Results). Features include filtering by process date, task name, status, or payroll activities, with options to drill down, correct, roll back, or reverse processes.

  • Analytics and Reporting

Redwood Analytics:

Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) content can now be used as a data source for Redwood Analytics on specific Fusion pages. Users can create OTBI reports, define Visualization Configurations, and drag-and-drop KPIs and visualizations onto dashboards using the Edit Page Layout feature.

The Recruiting Activity Center is highlighted as an example, with a content library of visualizations (KPIs and content) accessible via Edit Page Layout, controlled by specific privileges like PER_EDIT_TEAM_ACTIVITY_CENTER_LAYOUT.

Payroll Reporting:

A new PDF report for US payroll tax calculations (enabled via US Oracle Payroll Tax Engine) provides details on federal, state, and local taxes. It’s recommended to process this report in smaller batches (20 employees or fewer) for efficiency.

  • AI and Automation

AI Agent Studio:

Users can migrate existing AI agents to Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications. This involves configuring job roles with specific duty roles (e.g., SCM Intelligent Agent Management Duty, Fai Genai Agent Runtime Duty) to manage and interact with AI agents. Migration steps include accessing My Client Groups > Configure RAG Agents, migrating tools, and creating new agents in AI Agent Studio.

Guided Journeys:

A new AI Agent Task Type in guided journeys allows employees to interact with the AI platform, e.g., querying promotion policies for specific employee grades.

  • Deprecations and Performance Improvements

Deprecations:

The /allocatedChecklists REST API will be deprecated in 25C, with teams encouraged to transition to alternate solutions.

Performance Enhancements:

The Redwood Absence Balance page has optimized performance by reducing SQL load during REST API calls using findByLastCalculationDate and findByCurrentDate finders.
