The Oracle Fusion Cloud Goal Management 25D update, released as part of the quarterly
Human Capital Management (HCM) cycle, emphasizes AI-driven insights, Redwood user
experience enhancements, and customizable page configurations to streamline goal setting,
tracking, and alignment across organizations. This release integrates more deeply with
Performance Management and other Talent Management modules, enabling better visibility
from business objectives to individual employee goals. Key themes include generative AI for
comments and evaluations, conditional logic for dynamic pages, and improved handling of large
datasets for scalable performance reviews.

Key New Features and Enhancements

  1. AI-Powered Comment Generation for Goals

Managers can now generate AI-assisted comments directly at the Section Summary level for
Performance and Development Goals, as well as Competencies within performance documents.
 Enhanced AI prompting: Data sources are first summarized using child prompts before
feeding into parent prompts, allowing for better theme identification and handling of
larger data volumes during evaluation.

  1. Redwood UI Enhancements and Profile Options
Mandatory support for Redwood experience in Goal Management, including performance
documents and goals. Enable via profile options: ORA_HCM_VBCS_PWA_ENABLED (for
    progressive web app features) and
    ORA_HRA_PERFORMANCE_DOCUMENTS_AND_GOALS_REDWOOD_ENABLED (for Redwood-
    specific goal and document views).
Modernized interfaces for goal creation, alignment, and progress tracking, with improved
    mobile responsiveness and accessibility.
  2. Conditional Expressions in Visual Builder Studio

Administrators can add conditional expressions to page properties when editing Goal
Management Redwood pages in Visual Builder Studio (VBS). This allows dynamic application of
changes based on user roles, goal types, or other criteria.
Supports custom logic for displaying or hiding elements, such as goal templates or progress
indicators, tailored to specific scenarios.

  1. Integration with Performance Management

 Tighter coupling with Performance Documents: AI comments and Redwood views now
span goals, competencies, and sections, enabling seamless evaluation of goal
achievement within annual or ongoing reviews.
Enhanced data flow for cascading goals from organizational objectives to individual
development plans.

  1. Scalability and Data Handling Improvements

Optimized AI evaluation engine to process larger datasets efficiently, with child-parent prompt
summarization reducing processing time and improving accuracy in goal-related analytics.

 Redwood Adoption: Full transition to Redwood is recommended; legacy UI support for
Goal Management is being phased out in future releases (targeting 26A).
 AI Enablement: Ensure your environment has the latest AI agents activated via the
Fusion Apps admin console for optimal comment generation.
